Argentina’s lubricating oil demand rose in June for the first time in five months amid reviving consumption of automotive lubricants.Total lube consumption of 21,520mᶟ (16,700t) in June was similar to 21,610mᶟ in May and up 1pc from year-earlier levels, government data showed.A fall in the country’s lube demand already slowed steadily since March before reverting to growth in June.Demand revived mostly because of a 4pc rise in consumption of Argentina’s automobile lubricants.The stronger demand countered a 6pc fall in consumption of industrial oils and a 12pc fall in demand for marine lubricants.
