YPF Argentina’s largest lube supplier in March

Argentina’s national oil company YPF remained the country’s largest lubricants supplier in March as it boosted its share of automobile lube sales.

YPF accounted for more than 42pc of the country’s lubricants sales in March, government data showed.

The share was similar to the previous month and up from closer to a 41pc share in the first quarter of the year.

YPF lifted its share of the country’s automobile lubricants sales to more than 39pc of the total in March, up from less than 38pc in the first three months of the year.

Argentina’s lube sales rose to a seven-month high of more than 23,340mᶟ (20,590t) in March. Automobile lubricants demand rose to a twelve-month high.

Shell was the country’s second-largest lube supplier in March, accounting for almost 27pc of total sales. The share was up from closer to 26pc in the first quarter.

Total Especialidades Argentina was the third-largest supplier in March; Pan American Energy was the fourth largest.
