Saudi Arabia’s Yanbu/Jeddah April exports rise

Iain Pocock

Base oils shipments from the Saudi Arabian ports of Yanbu and Jeddah rose to a one-year high in April amid a pick-up in supplies to less regular outlets.

Base oils shipments from the two ports combined came to more than 63,000t in April, up from less than 55,000t the previous month, shipping data showed.

The volume got a boost from the shipment of a large cargo to Singapore for the first time in three months.

A cargo also moved to France for the first time in five months.

The shipment originated from the port of Jeddah. Previous shipments to France have typically originated from the port of Yanbu.
